About FRC
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school robotics program where teams of students build industrial-size robots to compete in unique action-packed games. The competition builds an environment where students not only master engineering and programming but also develop critical skills in teamwork and leadership.
Our Team - 10131 Royal Turtles
FRC Team 10131 the Royal Turtles is an FRC team from Diocesan Boys’ School that was founded in 2024. Despite having little experience, 10131 Royal Turtles is the top-ranked FRC team in Hong Kong and Asia. In the 2026 Season, we won a historic Grand Slam, showcasing our skills on the international stage. Through our initiative, R.O.Y.A.L (Reimagining Opportunities for Youth Advancement and Learning), combining world-class robotics with a deep commitment to environmental sustainability, inclusivity, and community outreach, we aim to ignite a passion for STEAM and inspire students to become the visionary leaders of the future.

History
2026 Rebuilt
In 2026, our premiere team Team 10131 Royal Turtles participated in three different regionals, with the end goal of making it to the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas. In the Shanghai Regional, we finished qualifying as the 4th ranked team among 50 teams and were the captains of Alliance 3. Our consistent robot performance won us the Quality Award. Flying to Turkey, we participated in the Marmara Regional. We ranked 2nd in qualifications and advanced to the playoffs as captains of Alliance 2, making it to the Finals. Partnering with Team 8595 and Team 8153, we emerged as the Champions of Marmara. Moreover, our excellent community outreach won the FIRST Impact Award, the most prestigious award in FRC. Hence, we completed the Grand Slam at the Marmara Regional, one of the rarest achievements in FIRST. Moving on to the Avrasya Regional, our robust robot design won the Industrial Design Award and got the Finalist Alliance Award. Thanks to our strong performance at various regionals, we successfully made it to the FIRST Championship. There, we placed 18th out of 75 teams in the Hopper division. Overall, we won a total of 5 awards and placed 83rd in the world, marking the season as a total success.
2025 Reefscape
We participated as the rookie team Team 10131 Royal Turtles in the 2025 season Reefscape. In our first-ever season, we attended the Southern Cross Regional and Shanghai Regional. At the Southern Cross Regional, we won the Judges' Award, showcasing our potential on the FRC international stage. Although this definitely wasn't a very successful season, we gained much-needed and valuable experience that has helped us become the top team we are today.
2024 Crescendo
In 2024, we competed in our first-ever FIRST Robotics Competition competition at the World Robot Contest Championships Crescendo offseason event. Due to our pre-rookie status, we had to compete as Team 9990. Despite having zero prior experience in FRC, we advanced to the finals as alliance 7. After three thrilling and intense matches, we won with a score of 78-72, achieving our first-ever winning alliance award. Although we had never competed at any FRC competitions before, the excellent display from our team earned us the Rookie All Star Award, marking the start of a very successful FRC journey.
