FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition and Science and Technology) is a global robotics programme founded by American inventor Dean Kamen and MIT professor Dr. Woodie Flowers in 1989. It is supported by 200 Fortune 500 Companies and operates as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation. It offers 3 exciting, sports-like competitions (FLL, FTC, FRC) that build self-confidence and critical thinking.
